Sport Premium

 

The PE and Sport Premium was established to provide primary schools with funding (doubled per year in 2017) for additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE, physical activity and sport.

​

It is allocated directly to schools so they have the flexibility to use it in the way that works best for their pupils.

​

Schools are expected to use the funding to show additional and sustainable improvement in:

 

The engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity – kick-starting healthy active lifestyles; raising the profile of PE and sport across the school as a tool for whole school improvement; increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport; broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils and increased participation in competitive sport.
