Science Jubilee 2026

Discovery Park Science Jubilee.

Recently our Year 6 students headed to Discovery Park in Sandwich for an incredible day of exploration at the annual STEM Jamboree!

This fantastic event transformed the science and business park into a bustling hub of hands-on learning, bringing together young people, local businesses, and universities.

Organised by the STEM Hub at Canterbury Christ Church University, the event aims to show students how STEM plays a part in everyday life and inspire them to consider exciting future studies and careers.

Our students experienced:

• Liquid Nitrogen Show: Watching mind-blowing, freezing-cold wonders in a live demonstration.
• 3 Hands-On Workshops: Conducting practical scientific experiments, tackling team problem-solving challenges and learning exactly how generators are built and how they create electricity.

It was an unforgettable morning filled with curiosity and big ideas.

We definitely have some future scientists and engineers in our ranks!
